Chisato Hagiwara returns in the Red-Brick Warehouse arc.
By the end of File 1124, the field team had narrowed the suspects to three and Conan’s side had pinpointed the kidnappers’ hide-out.
With only a few loose ends left, File 1125 is expected to serve as the finale of this mini-arc—and the third installment in the series.
In this post you’ll find an English synopsis (with spoilers) and quick-hit analysis of Weekly Shōnen Sunday Issue 9’s Detective Conan File 1125, “Two-Front Strategy.”
Detective Conan 1125 “Two-Front Strategy”– Spoiler
The chapter opens exactly where File 1124 left off.
Conan tells the Detective Boys that Shiori-chan is being held somewhere they have already passed.
He folds an A4 sheet into an unusual bird-shaped plane—then a paper airplane—and sets it flying.
File 1125 Spoiler ① – Using Torakage the Cat
Because the wings flutter, Torakage chases the paper glider and carries it back—exactly how the torn note reached Conan earlier.
Conan deduces the kidnappers relied on the cat, stacked dice, and a phone call to coordinate the ransom pick-up while Shiori’s grandmother was home alone.
File 1125 Spoiler ② – Where Is Shiori Being Held?
The torn message read:
“Shiori ha ya … tasukete”
Conan realizes “Shiori ha ya” is not “Shiori hurry” but “Shiori hayane-ura” (“Shiori attic room”).
He phones Inspector Sato and explains that no accomplice has contacted the escaped biker’s phone—the plot involves only the maid and one outside kidnapper.
The Runaway Kidnapper’s Likely Job
The biker spoke about “a fever coming on,” had medical shorthand on his hand, and fled on a motorcycle.
Conan concludes he’s probably a nurse.
Chisato decides to test the three café suspects and quietly recruits Inspector Jugo Yokomizo, whom she had already spotted.
File 1125 Spoiler ③ – A Two-Point Rescue Plan
At Shiori’s house, police hand the maid a recovered die.
She faints, giving officers time to search the attic and rescue Shiori safely.
Conan had engraved “GIVE UP” on the die: the maid thought the job had failed and collapsed.
Flushing Out the Runaway at the Café
Back at the red-brick pancake shop, Chisato, Yokomizo, and Takagi spring a trap.
They pipe classical tunes through the speakers—first “Für Elise,” then “Minuet.”
Only the flashy suspect snaps to attention: many hospitals use that melody for nurse-call alerts, and his reflex sells him out. The team arrests him on the spot.
Chisato had already pegged him: the man wore his watch on the right but drank with his left—clearly left-handed, matching the dice-code note written on a leftie’s right hand.
File 1125 Spoiler ④ – Amuro Makes His Move
After the case, the kids walk home. Haibara notices a Masked Yaiba 24th-anniversary badge on Mitsuhiko’s scarf.
The box had said, “Please pin it on the outermost layer so as many people as possible will see it.”
Conan inspects the badge, discovers a hidden camera and microphone, and crushes it underfoot.
In a nearby car, Toru Amuro hears the feed die and thinks:
Toru Amuro「As expected… he won’t be easy to crack.」
Detective Conan 1125 “Two-Front Strategy” – Review & Analysis
The three-chapter Red-Brick Warehouse arc has wrapped.
The finale finally nudged a long-dormant plot thread forward, giving readers plenty to chew on.
Here are the key takeaways and theories.
File 1125 Review & Theories ① – Chisato Hagiwara’s Deduction Skills Steal the Spotlight
Unlike previous team-ups—where she mostly supported Conan—Chisato ran the primary investigation this time.
Her rapid profiling, situational awareness, and flawless trap for the runaway biker confirm she’s elite even inside police ranks.
Inspector Yokomizo’s instant jealousy (and her quick read on it) further highlight her sharp intuition.
Calling her “just a traffic-unit officer” feels like an understatement now.
File 1125 Review & Theories ② – Toru Amuro Finally Makes His Move
After a ten-chapter lull, Amuro resurfaces in the closing scene. Recall File 1115, where the respirator-wearing elder ordered him to “investigate Edogawa Conan.”
The undercover agent’s tactic—bugging Mitsuhiko with a Masked Yaiba anniversary pin—shows his trademark roundabout style.
Expect much more direct surveillance (and tension) in coming chapters.
File 1125 Review & Theories ③ – Conan Hasn’t Linked the Bug to Amuro—Yet
Readers know the wiretap traces back to Amuro, but Conan only recognizes the threat, not the source. He even wonders if the device might target Haibara instead.
Watching these two master strategists maneuver once Conan identifies Amuro as the eavesdropper will be fascinating—and could push their uneasy alliance to a breaking point
