The chapter opens with the third murder: actor Nobuya Nagakubo, who plays Iori Suruga, has fallen to his death.

On the scene is Kazuha’s father, Inspector Ginshirō Toyama, who snarls at Inspector Ōtaki that if this were still the Shōwa era, he’d have already punched someone out.

Inspector Toyama warns that actor Tenma Anzaka “is the one guy who shouldn’t be here.”

Years ago Anzaka fatally struck a gang leader with a metal bat while rescuing Youka Kuraishi from would-be abductors.

Thanks to a video filmed by Toshikata Yoshiura, the act was ruled justifiable self-defense.

A screenshot of that old news report turned up on Narazawa’s phone, suggesting the current murders are linked to Anzaka’s past.

The third-floor railing was aluminum that had been weakened with liquid gallium.

When Nagakubo leaned on it, the rail sheared off and he plunged to the ground.

Tenma Anzaka – claims he was beneath the balcony retrieving a semaphore chart that blew away; two officers left to help him just before the fall.

Youka Kuraishi – was threatening to jump from the roof and shouted

Toshikata Yoshiura – insists he was still in the restroom, though Conan notes he could have texted orders with an officer nearby.

Anzaka’s mother appears at the stage door with an incriminating photo: she and her son were taking a selfie at the very moment Narazawa fell, capturing the actress in mid-air.

That eliminates Anzaka as the killer. She also reveals Anzaka suffers from a chronic illness and takes medication—information known only to Yoshiura.

Conan and Heiji exchange a knowing glance: they’ve found their culprit.

Conan and Heiji race to Abeno Harukas’s rooftop observatory; Ran and Kazuha follow close behind. Inspector Ōtaki reports the prime suspect bolted from a convenience-store bathroom but says,

The most suspicious actor so far, Tenma Anzaka, turns out to have an airtight alibi for Victim #1.

A selfie taken with his mother captures the exact moment Miku Narazawa fell, making it virtually impossible for him to have staged the first murder.

A classic Conan twist: the obvious suspect is almost certainly a red herring.

That said, only Anzaka was in position to arrange the bodies into the “EVIL” semaphore pose, so the hidden-message angle could still be his handiwork.

Chapter 1132 reveals that Ayari Kakiwaki’s trademark “Gyaaah!” scream was pre-recorded on a tablet.
