The chapter opens with the Detective Boys walking home from school.
Mitsuhiko excitedly tells the gang he’s won a rare badge celebrating the 24th anniversary of Masked Yaiba.
Ayumi then mentions a neighborhood cat that looks exactly like Torakage, the pet of Yaiba’s alter-ego, Raijin Shirogane.
Moments later they spot a Torakage look-alike carrying a shredded note that reads:
“Shiori ha… tasukete” (“Shiori… please help”)
Conan realizes someone may be in danger.
File Spoiler 1123 ① – Sato Gives Chase
Cut to: Inspectors Miho Sato and Wataru Takagi speeding after a biker wearing a full-face helmet.
Sato thinks,
Sato「Shiori-chan…」
apparently the same name from the note Conan found.
Flashback – How the Pursuit Began
Earlier, while staking out Haido Park, Sato and Takagi noticed an illegally parked motorcycle.
When a helmeted rider retrieved an attache case from a trash bin, Sato questioned him. The man panicked, ditched a suit jacket, and fled on the bike.
That “biker” is now believed to be the courier collecting ransom for a kidnapping.
The Victim: Shiori Ishigami
The abducted girl is Shiori, granddaughter of Ishigami Trading’s chairman.
The cash hand-off was supposed to occur in the park.
A GPS tracker in the case was tossed, so Sato and Takagi are chasing blind.
File Spoiler 1123 ② – The Hunt Crosses Into Kanagawa
The biker races out of Tokyo jurisdiction and into Kanagawa Prefecture.
He blows a red light, forcing Sato’s car to brake hard to avoid a child—who is saved by a police motorcycle ridden by Chisato Hagiwara.
Hagiwara, last seen in the speed-dating case, deduces the biker wiped out near the red-brick warehouse district.
File Spoiler 1123 ③ – A Three-Detective Team
Right then Conan phones Takagi:
Conan「Has a girl named Shiori been kidnapped?」
He explains the torn note and confirms Shiori’s address is in Haido—matching the Ishigami heir.
Hagiwara theorizes the kidnapper will hide without a smartphone to avoid tracing, so the trio fan out.
File Spoiler 1123 ④ – Red-Brick Warehouse Search
Inside the warehouses, Hagiwara zeroes in on a pancake shop called Bell’s. Problem: Sato’s face is known to the kidnapper, and Hagiwara is still in uniform.
Hagiwara turns to Sato:
Hagiwara「Homicide lady… lose the uniform.」
They swap clothes in the car (Takagi is mortified when he glimpses Sato’s backside through the window).
Undercover Entry
Now in plain clothes, Hagiwara smirks at Sato:
Hagiwara「I’m borrowing your husband for a bit.」
She and Takagi enter the café and instantly narrow the suspects to three men—each with a scuffed left boot, typical of motorcyclists who shift gears with the toe.
The chapter ends on that cliff-hanger.

The latest chapter marks the long-awaited return of Chisato Hagiwara.
Pairing her with the fan-favorite duo Detective Takagi and Inspector Sato sets up plenty of chemistry—both professional and romantic—to watch in the coming installments.
File 1123 Review & Theories ① – Chisato Still Sees a Hint of “Danger” in Takagi
Back in the speed-dating case, Chisato admitted that Takagi reminds her of the late Jinpei Matsuda—brilliant but reckless.
Working side-by-side again, she can’t shake that impression.
Chisato’s natural flirtiness is also sure to spark a little jealousy from Inspector Sato, so keep an eye on those subtle character beats.
File 1123 Review & Theories ② – Chisato’s Absolute Trust in Conan Stands Out
When Takagi phones Conan for help, most adults would dismiss a child’s input. Not Chisato.
Because Conan helped capture her brother’s killer, she treats his deductions as gold.
Conan is still in Tokyo while the investigation has crossed into Kanagawa, so a face-to-face team-up may be tough this time—yet their mutual respect remains a highlight.
File 1123 Review & Theories ③ – The Respirator Elder Plotline Is on Hold—for Now
Fans hoping the mysterious respirator-wearing elder, who has been tailing Conan, would resurface in File 1123 will have to wait.
The chapter drops no new hints on that thread.
With the movie-tie-in arc for Heiji Hattori likely on the horizon, the elder subplot may be tabled until the arc’s final pages—or a future story altogether.
Either way, the lingering mystery keeps readers guessing.
