1121 Spoiler ① Proving “Shinichi” Isn’t a Faker
Kid-Shinichi cites the Bell-Tree Express case.
Back then, the victim’s apparent suicide was staged with a silenced pistol; because a real self-inflicted shot would have left powder burns on the temple, it was clearly murder.
By recalling those details, “Shinichi” argues he knew from the start that today’s death could not be suicide, placating Hakuba—if only slightly.
Kid happened to remember the case minutely enough to plug the hole in his story.

Surveillance footage is played in the security office; each key person is questioned.
1) Interview — Facilities Manager Masuo Kase
- CEO Yōtarō Kichida stayed alone in the gallery for “just 10 seconds” after final checks.
- Kase says Kichida used only gestures—no voice—because he’d lost his voice at karaoke the night before after a spat with his wife.

- A former firefighter, photographed alone with the CEO years ago; back then Kichida wore contacts, not glasses.

The long-awaited face-off between Shinichi and Saguru Hakuba finally arrived, and the chapter turned out to be far more pivotal than its comedic setup suggested.
Below are my spoiler-heavy impressions and theories.
1121 Review & Theories ① — Hakuba Is Closing in on the Conan ↔ Shinichi Secret
Hakuba’s deductions were razor-sharp this week.
He clearly noticed that “Shinichi” only speaks after Conan whispers through a hidden mic, which means the real brain behind the deductions is Conan, while the person wearing Shinichi’s face must be Kaito Kid.
Did Hakuba Already Connect the Dots About Conan’s Real Identity?
The key moment comes when Hakuba flirts with Ran: Conan reacts first, and “Shinichi” reacts a beat later. Hakuba clocks the delay, implying he now suspects that Conan Edogawa is the real Shinichi Kudō.
If so, Hakuba joins the ultra-small circle of characters who know Conan’s secret—something that could completely change future Kid–Hakuba–Conan dynamics.
