“Looking for Sunday Conan 1146 spoilers and theories?”
The “Summoned Man” arc that kicked off in File 1144 continues to heat up: the supposedly dead FBI agent André Camel has finally crossed paths with RUM, No. 2 of the Black Organization.
Below you’ll find full spoilers and analysis for Detective Conan File 1146, “Because It’s Dangerous…”
Spoiler alert!
Detective Conan File 1146 “Because It’s Dangerous…” – Spoilers
The chapter opens inside the late Ayako Futamura’s apartment. Three host suspects—Michiyoshi Takabuki, Ikuto Nishime, and Satoru Shimpo—insist Ayako committed suicide and prepare to leave. Conan whispers instructions to “Tatsuya Ando” (FBI agent André Camel in disguise), while Kanenori Wakita (RUM) watches with a piercing gaze.
1146 Spoiler ① — Camel’s Deduction Show Begins
Camel touches his chin and launches into a deduction show. A button-speaker is hidden in his hood; Conan, standing at the entrance, transmits arguments via his voice-changer.
To keep lip-sync believable, Conan tells Camel: “Close your eyes when the addressee changes, listen, then mouth the words while looking at them.”
1146 Spoiler ② — How the Trick Was Set Up
• A plate was balanced on a desk edge directly beneath the air-conditioner vent. When the A/C switched on, a spoon and fork tumbled out, struck the plate, and shattered it.
• The cuckoo clock ran ten minutes slow. A stack of dishes and glasses was placed on a chair in front of it; when the cuckoo popped, the pile fell and smashed.
• A PET bottle filled with water was microwaved until it exploded, sending the knife and cutting board—placed on top—flying across the room.
1146 Spoiler ③ — Wakita Starts to Catch On
Wakita senses he has met Camel before and notices Camel’s lip movements are off-sync. Realizing Conan is missing, he mutters, “Could that kid be the one deducing all this?” and heads for the entrance. Conan narrowly fends him off by claiming he was watching an ant trail in the hall.
1146 Spoiler ④ — Conan Investigates on His Own
Seeing Wakita’s suspicion, Camel improvises: he deduces that a bullet casing was heated with dry ramen in the frying pan to create a timed gunshot.
The first person to retrieve that casing—Takabuki—must be the killer. The shell is hidden in his blood-soaked sock, clinching the case; motive: a love triangle that turned violent.
1146 Spoiler ⑤ — Camel & Wakita Lock Eyes
After the deduction wraps, Wakita looks at Conan and decides, “Just an ordinary brat after all.” When Camel opens the door, Wakita is outside and they almost collide.
Camel: “You shouldn’t stand right in front of the door—it’s dangerous!”
Both men instantly recall the elderly figure who confronted Shuichi Akai two years earlier—and each wonders if the other is that very same person.
Detective Conan File 1146 “Because It’s Dangerous…” – Review & Theories
This chapter is nerve-racking: FBI agent André Camel and Black Organization No. 2 Kanenori Wakita / RUM finally make direct contact—one of the most dangerous meetings in the series.
I already can’t wait for the next file. Below are quick impressions and predictions.
1146 Review & Theory ① – The Arc Isn’t Over Yet
This murder case may be wrapped up, but a follow-up to the Camel-vs-Wakita thread is almost guaranteed—likely five issues from now when the manga returns.
Key loose ends remain: Conan’s lingering unease about the Black Organization (raised in File 1144) and what happens after both men recognize each other.
1146 Review & Theory ② – Camel & Wakita Finally Recall the Past
Two years ago, Camel accidentally spoke to a mysterious old man during Shuichi Akai’s sting on Gin—an act that ruined the mission. That “old man” was RUM. In File 1146, a near-identical hallway encounter triggers their memories: both think, “Could it be…?”
The stakes are lethal. Camel is officially “dead,” so if RUM confirms he’s alive, the Organization will target him at once. How Conan and the FBI handle this ticking time bomb will be the big question in the next chapter.
